Description
Self-Supporting Roofing is a structural solution which does not need any roofing structure support. The metallic profile accomplishes then a double role, as a resistant element and as roof cladding.
It consists on a trapezoidal metallic profile that gets curved through regular indentations to obtain the necessary radius.
The curved corrugated sheets are designed in order to offer the best resistance and performance as well as to ensure the best use of the material.
The profiles lie directly on the primary beams and they are fixed to them by means of the required fastenings according to the material used for the structure. It is also possible to create an “in situ” sandwich solution over the self-supporting profile, installing the omegas, the isolation and the external sheet over it. All of this converts this cover roof solution in one of the cheapest and quickest to assemble in the market.

When used together with a precast concrete structure we can cover a span of 13.30m with one single sheet and so we can optimize the concrete structure with the result of unobstructed areas with a limited cost.
This system is mainly used for industrial buildings or retail units, as well as for hangars or sport centers, etc.
This roof demands no maintenance and it is available in many different finishes which allows a great durability for different environments. Depending on the material used the warranty could arrive to 30 years.
